October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and our school is making it a month-long focus! 💛

Our PAWS Cares team has put together a full month of activities, conversations, and school-wide events to build a culture of kindness, belonging, and respect. Each week has its own theme:

Week 1: Kindness Kick Off
Week 2: Stand Up, Speak Up
Week 3: Kindness Goes Viral
Week 4: Together We Belong
Week 5: Red Ribbon Week

Here's some of what students will be doing this month:

🔗 Kindness Paper Chain: Every student will commit to one act of kindness this month. Their pledges will be linked together into a school-wide paper chain.

🗣️ "What Would You Do?" Scenarios: In advisory, students will work in small groups on real-life situations and talk through how to respond when they see bullying or unkind behavior.

✉️ Mentor Compliment Cards: Students will write encouraging notes to their mentors to strengthen the connections that help students feel supported at school.

🚪 Door Decorating Contest: Each advisory class will decorate their door around the theme "Better Together" or "Superheroes." Families visiting for Parent-Teacher Conferences will get a chance to see them!

🤝 Unity Banner: Students will be invited to sign a banner in the lunchroom as a pledge to stand together against bullying.

🔴 Red Ribbon Week: We'll close out the month with drug prevention awareness, including "My Future Is Too Bright For ___" cards that will be displayed in our school.

Throughout the month, students can also show their support by joining our dress-up and theme days. Check out the calendar below for the full schedule!

Families, we'd love your help. Ask your student about what they're learning, talk about what kindness and standing up for others looks like, and remind them about dress-up days.

Questions? Reach out to Jessica Jenkins or the PAWS Cares Team.

To our fabulous SHMS Parents/Guardians and community,

We’re writing to share that South Hills Middle School is partnering with SchoolPulse, a proven, nation-wide resource to support student success, well-being, and a positive school experience.

Beginning soon, students and parents/guardians will receive a brief, weekly email from SchoolPulse. These messages are designed to encourage academic success, healthy habits, positive decision-making, and motivation, by providing practical tips and resources that support students both in and out of school.

The goal of SchoolPulse is simple: to help students feel supported, build confidence, and stay on track academically and personally. Many families find the emails helpful as conversation starters at home and as reminders that support is always available.  Students and parents who engage with SchoolPulse also receive live, two-way support from a caring team of professionals, providing an additional layer of encouragement and guidance when needed.

No action is required. We encourage you to review the messages as they arrive and use what feels most helpful for your student and family.

Sincerely,
South Hills Middle School Team

Dear TFSD Families and Staff,

In the wake of the Canyon West shooting on August 1, the City of Twin Falls is leading a community-wide effort to facilitate recovery and support our town.

As part of this initiative, the city has created a survey to better understand which supports and resources are most needed. As a community partner, the Twin Falls School District is sharing this survey and encourages all of our staff and families to take a few moments to complete it.

Survey Link: https://polco.us/s75ucp

We remain committed to partnering with the City of Twin Falls throughout this restorative process to ensure our students, staff, and families receive the care and resources they need.

Thank you for your participation and ongoing support of our community.

Sincerely,

Twin Falls School District Administration

Dear TFSD Families,

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we need your help to understand where students will be riding the bus to school. Today, we are officially opening the Bus Service Registration for the 2026-2027 school year.

Why this matters: We design our bus routes every year based on the families who sign up. Even if your child rode the bus last year, you must fill out this form so we can accurately map stops and keep ride times as short as possible.

Deadline to register: July 31

👉 Click Here to Register for Bus Service

If you plan to drive your student, carpool, or if they will walk, you do not need to complete the form. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our school community moving efficiently.
