MVHS Principal:
The Twin Falls School District #411 Board of Trustees is pleased to announce Jason Kiester will be taking the role of Principal at Magic Valley High School on July 1. They made this announcement Monday, June 12 at their regularly scheduled board meeting.
Kiester is currently the Associate Principal at South Hills Middle School School, a role he has held since 2021. He started his career at Vallivue High School as an English Language teacher in 2009. In 2010, he transitioned to Skyview High School where he taught Spanish. He began teaching English Language Arts in 2011 at Homedale Middle School where he also served as a part-time counselor. In 2013, Kiester continued teaching English Language Arts at Nowlin Middle School where he remained until 2018. In 2018, he served as a Spanish teacher and English Language Learner Coordinator at Star Middle School where he worked until taking his current role with the TFSD.
Kiester received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Education from Bringham Young University-Idaho in 2009. He holds a Master of Education Administration from William Woods University, which he received in 2015.
“I'm so excited to be working with and learning from the wonderful staff at MVHS. I can't wait to start building relationships and memories with the staff, students, and parents. I know I have big shoes to fill, and I'm excited to have this opportunity to have an impact on our community in such an important way. ” Kiester said.
Kiester will fill the role previously held by Roger Keller who announced his retirement earlier this year.
TFHS Interim Associate Principal:
The Twin Falls School District #411 Board of Trustees is pleased to announce Brett Graham will be taking the role of Interim Associate Principal at Twin Falls High School on July 1. They made this announcement Monday, June 12 at their regularly scheduled board meeting.
Graham currently serves as a classroom teacher at Twin Falls High School where he has served since 2015. He currently teaches U.S. History I, and has also taught Freshman Transitions, U.S. Government, and Eastern Hemisphere during his time at TFHS. He started his career in education in 1999 at Oakley Junior/Senior High School where he taught history and physical education. In 2006 he transitioned to Burley High School where he taught until 2015 when he joined the Twin Falls School District. Graham also has a history of involvement with extracurricular activities including track, football, basketball, and baseball.
Graham holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Utah State University and a Master of Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho which he received in 2012.
“I am very excited to work with the faculty, parents, and students in this new position. I know I will learn as much from them as I am able to share. Twin Falls High School has a great atmosphere to teach and learn, and to develop important relationships with community members,” Graham said.
Graham will fill the role previously held by Nancy Jones who will be serving as the Interim Principal at Twin Falls High School for the 2023-24 school year.
