Dear South Hills Middle School Families,
This morning, there was a report of a potential threat on social media. The Twin Fall Police Department was immediately notified and investigated. Based on the investigation, it appears that the reported threat was unfounded. There was no interruption to the school day but student activities were kept inside throughout the day. The TFPD also provided an additional police officer to be at the school throughout the day.
The school takes all threats and reports of threats seriously and we appreciate the Police Departments’ quick response and thoroughness. We believe this is an isolated incident and the police department has determined that there is no ongoing threat to our school or students.
We encourage you to talk with your student about this incident and remind them that if they see or hear anything that might endanger the safety of our schools to report it immediately. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during the times when our schools must utilize lockdown procedures. We know this can be a stressful situation for families. If you have any questions about our safety procedures do not hesitate to contact us.
